Description
The assembly of carbon components is challenging: On the one hand, the parts must be securely clamped, while on the other hand, excessive clamping forces can damage the delicate carbon structure. In addition, the high electrochemical potential of carbon fibers poses a risk of galvanic corrosion in the event of surface damage, similar to metal-to-metal joints.
The solution is MOTOREX CARBON PASTE.
Applied to clamping and contact areas, it effectively reduces these risks. Its dielectric properties prevent the flow of current that causes contact corrosion. This protects the installed components and makes them easier to dismantle, as they cannot jam.
In addition, MOTOREX CARBON PASTE is one of the few assembly pastes that does not contain solid particles. This effectively increases the friction coefficient of the clamping mechanism.
The homogeneous paste reduces the required tightening torque by up to 30 percent, significantly reducing the stress on the carbon components in the clamping area.
